NICP - Directory of Accredited Practitioners in Cognitive Therapies in the UK
The National Institute of Cognitive Psychology has been created as an on-line resource and directory of accredited practitioners in cognitive therapies in the UK, for members of the public to find a reputable, accredited cognitive therapist in their area. Our standards of admission to the directory are high, so visitors searching for a therapist can rest assured that they will find a therapist who is skilled, conscientious and able to assist. NICP is committed to ensuring that members of the public are given the confidence to select a therapist and receive the best possible treatment available. Our registered therapists can be found all across the UK, and each has their own personal specialism.
Each of our registered therapists regularly update their skills with continuing professional development, and are all members of a variety of accredited bodies which means that they all receive regular updates to their training, supervision by another highly trained, experienced therapist and adhere to a variety of strict codes of conduct and standards of practice, as well as the NICP Code of Conduct, created with members of the public in mind, ensuring that they receive the best possible therapy available.
The cognitive therapists on our directory offer a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) , Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Rapid Cognitive Processing (RCP) and more. The need for high quality well trained therapists has never been greater, with many people searching for emotional support, help with stress and anxiety as well as personal development.
There is also a directory of approved and accredited training centres offering high quality, classroom based training in a variety of cognitive therapies as well as cognitive hypnotherapy training and CPD (continuing professional development). NICP only add a training centre, course, or CPD learning course onto the register if it is proven to be of the highest standard.
